ARG Industrial Announces the Planned Opening of its Newest Location in Salem, Oregon

Salem will be the company’s 14th and most southern location to date. This expansion marks ARG Industrial’s second location in Oregon, following the Portland branch, which was acquired in 2021. The employee-owned company continues to invest in growth as it serves customers from various industries throughout the Pacific Northwest and Alaska.

“Our new Salem location will expand our geographical reach southward and combine hose and rigging capabilities in a single location.  We feel this value proposition sets us apart in the market.  Salem is experiencing significant growth, and we feel like we’re just the company to support the industries that are growing there. This new branch will help us strategically drive essential products and services to a wide variety of new and already established ARG customers.”  Mike Mortensen, President & CEO ARG Industrial

Introducing the Evolving Leaders Group

IDCO is excited to announce the launch of the Evolving Leaders Group, a new initiative designed to connect and support the next generation of leaders. This group was created to bring together emerging professionals to collaborate, grow their leadership skills, and build lasting industry connections. The president of Elite Supply, Inc., Matt Steer, will chair the committee. He shared his vision for the group:

“The Evolving Leaders Group is an incredible opportunity to extend IDCO’s benefits deeper into our organizations. At the Principals Conference, I’ve seen firsthand the power of peer networks—sharing best practices, learning from mistakes, and having mentors just a phone call away. This group supports emerging leaders, like branch managers and purchasing staff, who often feel isolated in their roles. With major industry changes ahead, this initiative will equip them with the skills, connections, and resources they need to thrive.”

During the Evolving Leaders session at the 2024 IDCO Expo, members shared their priorities—from professional development and leadership resources to cross-company collaboration and networking opportunities. Since then, we’ve been hard at work defining the mission, structuring the group, and setting up a brand-new networking platform where members can engage, exchange ideas, and develop their leadership skills.

We’re excited to see this initiative grow and can’t wait to see what this group accomplishes. Stay connected for updates, and if you’re interested in joining or helping shape the direction of this committee, contact Melissa Woodley at [email protected]. Stay tuned for updates—including our March 19th public speaking webinar—as we build a stronger network together.
