The 2025 IDCO Principals Conference took place at the Tommy Bahama Miramonte Resort in Indian Wells, California, providing an excellent setting for this year’s gathering of The Hoser Network. The event featured valuable discussions, meaningful networking, and a record number of attendees, making it a standout conference.
The event kicked off with an outdoor welcome reception, where IDCO Chairman Mike Mortensen set the stage for an engaging and productive conference. Attendees prepared for two full days of learning, sharing, and collaboration.
“I thoroughly enjoyed my first Principals Conference and appreciated the opportunity to connect with many experienced hosers in one place. I am relatively new to the industry and found it valuable to talk with those who have been doing this longer than me. Everyone was incredibly welcoming.” – Charlie Ellsworth, JME.
The conference agenda was packed with breakout sessions, best practice exchanges, and a panel discussion on company culture. One of the highlights was a keynote speaker who tackled the ever-relevant topic of workforce retention.
“After attending my first Principals meeting, I felt like my network was expanded, which is invaluable. It provided the opportunity to engage in discussions with so many hose professionals and made me realize how much potential there is to learn. It was a reminder that these events are about more than just absorbing information—they’re about building relationships and contributing to conversations that shape the future of the industry.” – Eric Weiner, Abbott Rubber.
The breakout groups stood out as another major highlight of the event. Attendees engaged in discussions on various topics, from how technology is driving business growth to strategies for training and hiring and learning how other members have dealt with challenges. These sessions offered eye-opening perspectives and valuable takeaways that could be applied to businesses of all sizes.
“Every year, the Principals Conference is a can’t-miss event I mark on my calendar. This time, the breakout groups stood out—hearing how technology is shaping businesses, from small single locations to large nationwide companies, and their take on its future impact was eye-opening. Work-wise, I took away a ton, but the real highlight was the camaraderie. Sharing drinks by the pool, playing pickleball, and laughing over great food with friends—that’s what makes The Hoser Network special. It’s not just the businesses; it’s the people.” – Matt Steer, Elite Supply, Inc.
Throughout the conference, The Hoser Network was in full effect—bringing together industry leaders, fostering new relationships, and strengthening existing ones. This network of professionals continues to be the foundation of IDCO, reinforcing the collaborative spirit that makes these events so valuable. That spirit carried through to the final day, where some members kept the momentum going with a friendly pickleball competition organized by Jason Bethel of Commerce Hose.
The 2025 IDCO Principals Conference brought industry leaders together for valuable discussions, networking, and collaboration. We look forward to next year’s event and the continued growth of The Hoser Network!
