Each year, IDCO recognizes one supplier who exemplifies partnership, performance, and a deep commitment to the co-op. This year, that honor goes to Kuriyama of America, recipient of the 2024 Bob Lyons Supplier of the Year Award.
Kuriyama has long stood out as the embodiment of a true partner, consistently putting IDCO and its members at the center of their efforts. They go above and beyond in every way, participating fully in IDCO’s key initiatives, providing exceptional products, and building strong, lasting relationships across the network. Their growth alongside the membership year after year is a testament to their value.
Selecting a recipient for this year’s Bob Lyons Supplier of the Year Award was no easy task. We are proud to work with so many dedicated, engaged suppliers, several of whom will also be recognized as Outstanding Suppliers of the Year. This year, Kuriyama’s partnership stood out as a clear reflection of the values represented by the Bob Lyons Supplier of the Year Award.
Their presence at the IDCO Expo is always a highlight—they’ve served as one of our top sponsors, traditionally opening the show with the welcome event, setting the week’s tone. Their contributions to IDCO U are just as impressive. In summer 2024, they introduced a unique opportunity for members by sponsoring access to 10 professional development courses focused on sales and leadership. In just three months, more than 100 IDCO members completed the full series, demonstrating Kuriyama’s ability to identify and act on ways to support the network.
Beyond programs and sponsorships, Kuriyama’s partnership shines through in the everyday work. John Collins, National Accounts Manager, has been a guiding voice in helping shape IDCO’s co-branding efforts around The Hoser Network, offering insights that reflect a genuine understanding of collaboration within the network.
